I want a million things

When someone asks me,

Well, what do you want?

I do not have a single answer.

I want a million things at once

All in different directions.

I want to move to another country.

To be able to walk down the street to my sister’s porch.

To hold hands on a date.

To light a candle and go to bed.

To bike across the country.

To be able to say I love you when I mean it.

To make more money.

To have a job with freedom.

To be healed of PTSD.

To never use social media.

To be able to see my grandma without dread.

To be a writer.

To tell my mom everything.

To put my hands in the dirt.

I want the snow to fall finally.

I want my cousin to know sobriety.

I want my mom to quit smoking.

I want my dog to live forever.

I want my step grandma to be in remission.

I want everyone to be ok.

I want us all to know joy.
